How the CNU handles information submitted through cnu-deutschland.co.uk. Last reviewed 10 August 2026.
Information we collect
The website collects information that you choose to submit through the membership, volunteer, newsletter and contact forms. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, date of birth, region, interests, availability and the content of your message or application.
Why we use it
Information is used to review membership applications, coordinate volunteers, provide requested party updates and respond to enquiries. It is not used for unrelated commercial advertising.
Political information
A membership application or agreement with party principles may reveal a political opinion. The relevant forms therefore require explicit consent before submission. Please submit only information needed for the stated purpose.
Storage and access
Form submissions are sent to the CNU's central email mailbox using Formspree. A backup record is also stored in the website's secure application database. These records should be accessed only by authorised CNU personnel for the relevant purpose and kept no longer than necessary for that purpose and any legal obligations.
Your choices
You may ask for access, correction or deletion of information linked to you, or withdraw newsletter consent, by writing to the privacy contact above. Some information may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Security and changes
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect form submissions. This notice will be updated when the website's services or data practices materially change.
